A thunderstorm in munich, recorded 2020-07-01 in my backyard on second floor on a balcony. It rains, the strikes come closer, then they go away, the rain recedes. Some backyard noise, faint traffic and tram. One time you here me sighing (sorry). Some minimal clipping at thunder peaks, sorry again, but i think it's very usable anyway and contains a lot of material. Recorded with: tascam dr-05, 96khz, 24bit, flacmy own recording, cc0 public domain.

Recorded just after the clock struck midnight, signaling the beginning of 2023 in greenville, south carolina with a tascam dr-05 stereo recorder. Very nice clear recording with basically zero unwanted noises except for an occasional light water drip. Audio edited to perfection by me. ;) did some light eq, compression, limiting, and stereo balancing, as well as removing some of the constant ambient white noise hiss. Creative commons 0 license, so use this for whatever you like! enjoy!.

Douzens of frogs within a ditch at dusk end of may 2013, giving an evening concert. Recorded in moorende 25 km apart from hamburg. The ditch is a part of the old watering system of the huge apple plantages of the altes land. Recorded with a tascam dr-100 with its implememented stereo cardioids, 44,1 khz, 16 bit stereo. Fortunately and unusually nearly no wind during the recording and only one motorbike passing at the small road beneath - which i was able to cut off unnoticable.

I would interest me and satisfy my curiosity as i'm a curious sort of person. I've designated this as public domain / cc0, however. . . . . . If you feel my sound/s is/are quite significant for a significant project, it would also be nice if you gave credit and a link if it's practical to do so. Www. Freesound. Org/people/muel2002/.

Rode nt4 microphone compare signal-noise of phantom and battery power. Nt4, together with small electrical clock, in bed under all the pillows of the house. ;-). First 48v phantom-powersecond 9 v battery-power. Gear chain: rode nt4 with original xlr cord > sound devices 302 >tascam dr-100 mk2. My conclusion: the battery powered mic nt4 is 0. 5db more quiet. Not very significant. See also; http://freesound. Org/people/klankbeeld/sounds/217695.

A walk from my studio on surrey canal road to surrey canal station passing a match at the millwall stadium, a group of ticketless millwall fans watching from a vantage point on the path and commenting on the upcoming general election, the roar of the crowd segueing into the ominous rumbling/squealing of the south east london combined heat and power waste incineration plant and the sound of trains passing on the rails overhead and adjacent to the path. Recording using a tascam dr-02d.

At a baby shower and there are these awesome paper pom poms that sounded so amazing when you dragged them over your hand, like wind rustling stiff grass or dry leaves. Lots of variants of speed, direction to give you motion options in the stereo track. I'm sorry about all the wind pops, but if you're okay with a mono track, there are clean passes on both right and left. Recorded on a tascam-dr-40 and cleaned up in audacity. Production-now. Jemaa el-fnaa is one of the biggest squares in africa, and is one of the most vibrant places i have ever visited. Each time of day brings a very different energy, and one will find snake charmers, musicians, dancers and stands selling pretty anything you could think of. Although busy during the day, jemaa el-fna is swarmed with people at night and can quickly become overwhelming. This recording is from february, 2020, using a tascam dr-05x.

I did some swishes myself using a spiral hose; i needed them for specific situations in video editing and the bamboo swishes i found here on freesound were too fast and strong. The flexible spiral hose made for some nice and slower swishes; some of the 16 sounds build up a little, some are very fast and strong, some soft and gentle. A whole pack for you to use. Recorded with a tascam dr-05 stereo (the movement always went from left to right); a little noise reduction in audacity.

After spending a weekend putting together a giant wardrobe (from everyones favourite swedish furniture store) for my girlfriend i thought i should reward myself by making some recordings of it. This is a close mic recording of the sliding door, i followed the top of the door (where there was the most interesting sound) the full length of the wardrobe as i opened/closed the door. For this recording i used my sennheiser mkh416 going into a sound devices mp-1 preamp and recorded to a tascam dr-680.

Standing on the east side of michigan avenue near ontario street, chicago, 7/16/16 at 10:07pm. Lots of passing traffic, squealing brakes, distant voices, distant sirens. A busker in the middle distance is playing his recognizable clarinet licks. Around 3:14 a group of motorcycle riders pass revving their engines. Edited to remove potentially copyright infringing music (captured playing out of passing cars and motorbikes). Recorded with two countryman emw lavaliers in a head-mounted binaural arrangement, into a tascam dr-40 recorder. Processed to remove excessive bass rumble and compensate for eq curve of lavaliers.

A quick clip of me saying "enemy boat spotted" in a low tone through a motorola cls series radio as a video game reference. Should be a great audio joke for all your inspired military style films to randomly insert playing from a tactical radio in the middle of no where for those who get it. Tascam dr-07 mkii stereo inserted directly into a motorola cls series radio and did a basic normalization in sony sound forge to make it more audible. I may or may not do requests depending on how many people like this. We'll see.

Recorded on the san francisco side of alcatraz island, 08/25/2015. Recorder was placed on the railing on the back side of the yard above the staircase. A clear day, with plenty of water birds and gulls. Some tourists speaking various languages throughout. . . Some asking about the 'microphone'. This recording also catches the sf noon siren and a sea plane flying toward the end. My windjammer wasn't quite enough for the wind, so there's some rumble, but it can be cleaned up. Recorded with a tascam dr-70d, built in mics. Free to use, but let me know where it ends up!.

Operating my washing machine (front loader, brand: indesit). This reflect the full circle of a washing process from turning the control knob to the typical “clack” when the machine is finished and the look is once again released. All the intermediate steps like washing, spinning and so on, are shorten in time (otherwise this would be a 50min sound clip). But you can loop all those sounds very well. Recorded with a tascam dr-40. Note: feel free to use this sound in one of your own projects. If you want to, you also can send me a link. Recorded with tascam dr-07mkii. While on holiday staying in a country cottage near some cow fields, there was a mother cow and what must have been her 2 calves which had been put into separate fields either side of a road. This was obviously pretty distressing for the cows and so they were constantly mooing at each other and being the kind of guy i am, of course i recorded it!. I have done as much as i can to reduce wind and other background noises (the windshield i have for my dr-07 doesn't seem to do a lot except make it look like it's got a 70s afro) and have trimmed all the cow sounds out and put them together into this one file. Some are better than others, it was hard to know which cow was gonna make a noise next. Free to use for anything, if you use it, would be cool if you let us know where in the comments, be interesting to see where they end up :).

I was surprised this still worked. This is an old ibm selectric ii typewriter, with correcting tape, the “quieter” selectric at the time. It’s about 80 pounds, a real back-breaker. The carriage return bell is broken, unfortunately, so the best you might hear it is rattling due to the belt vibration. Recorded with a tascam dr-05, without the low-cut since i wanted a beefy sound. Placed direcly above the roller, about 12 inches away. I swapped the channels in audacity to match perception & sampled down to 48khz. Description: i roll in some paper, type a few paragraphs from some copy, and roll it out when i’m done. Man, can you type fast on these machines!.

A soundscape of several thunderstorms mixed together to create a uniquely immersive, full field recording. This editing process allows for rain and thunder strikes to be recorded at different volumes and creates a more diverse atmosphere with different types of rain, wind, and ambiance melded into one found sound. Although each storm was recorded in a slightly different location, everything is from the greater detroit, mi, usa area. -recorded entirely with a tascam dr-03 set at 48 k / 24 bit. Then each different storm was edited together in magix music maker. -this album version fades out with a simple, repeating synth line.

In cabin. Train wheels grinding the rails, odd wind howling makes a melody. Water bottles stored under the cabin seats make soft sounds. Recorded with tascam dr-40. I've only used the internet to facilitate human contacts. Being with actual people in actual places has always been the goal. I like it when, in the presence of real people, we don't speak for a while. We just do something that we've agreed to do together in silence. There is an agreement and we don't have to think about who we are, how we can be who we are or what it all means. Doing becomes meaning.

I recorded this in my living room with mics in an x-pattern on the couch very close together, using a tascam dr-70d and behringer dyynamic microphones with patch cables for optimal volume. I recorded this at maximum gain on the tascam as two stereo files, then conjoined them to a 6-channel audio file properly and mixed the front two channels to a monaural center channel for added effect. The final result is what can be downloaded here. Tghe music in the background is part of the star trek: generations expanded complete score, and is coming from my computer to the rear of the recording, which lasts just over a minute in length, and the music was just background noise for testing purposes only. No copyright infringement was intended. Credit for the music goes to the now late jerry goldsmith and also dennis mccarthy, who is still alive. I hope you like this audio demonstration, and find it useful when considering rigs like the holophone, or comparible 5. 1 surround sound microphones / rigs. I take no credit for this recording, as it was done for demonstration purposes only. Have fun!.
